King Racing Connecting Rod Bearing Set – Coated for Volkswagen VR6 2.8L (STDX)

The King Racing CR6764XPC STDX is a coated connecting rod bearing set for the Volkswagen VR6 2.8L, made for built engines that see high load, high RPM or boost. It is a race tri-metal bearing with a steel back, a copper-lead layer, a nickel barrier and King's pMaxBlack overlay for extra hardness and fatigue strength. The pMaxKote polymer coating on top adds wear and seizure resistance during start-up and low-oil moments, without changing the wall thickness.

This set is the STDX size: it fits a standard-size crank but gives about 0.001" (0.025mm) more oil clearance than STD. Builders use it when they want a little more clearance for thicker oil or high load without machining the crank.

Note: STDX gives about 0.001" (0.025mm) more oil clearance than STD on a standard-size crank. Measure your crank journals and rod housing bores before ordering. Installation by a professional engine builder is recommended.
