BMW M4 Competition (F82 / F83) 2016–2020 Performance Parts & Upgrades
The BMW M4 Competition was sold new in Australia from 2016 as the F82 coupe and F83 convertible, with both on sale until 2020. It uses the S55 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six with rear-wheel drive, the same engine as the M3 Competition and M2 Competition. Choosing the Right Part
- Coupe or convertible: engine, brake and most suspension parts fit both. Aero parts such as APR's GT2 mirrors are listed for the F82 coupe, so check the title for an F83.
- Competition or standard M4: the Competition shares its engine and brakes with the standard M4, so F82 / F83 parts fit unless the title says otherwise.
- Adaptive dampers: add the Öhlins EDC cancellation kit when fitting coilovers to a car with adaptive dampers.
Installation
Get suspension, brake and engine parts fitted by a qualified workshop, and plan a tune for intercooler, turbo inlet or exhaust changes that need one. Have a wheel alignment after suspension work and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work.
