Siruda Grommet Metal Head Gasket - Nissan Skyline (R33 / R34) / Stagea (WC34) - RB25DET
The Siruda grommet metal head gasket is a multi-layer steel (MLS) head gasket for the RB25DET engine in the R33 and R34 Nissan Skyline and the WC34 Stagea. It is made for rebuilt and modified engines where the head seal has to hold more cylinder pressure than a factory gasket.
Choose the bore and thickness to suit your build. It comes in bore sizes of 87 mm or 88 mm and thicknesses of 1.2 mm, 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm, 1.6 mm, 1.8 mm, 1.9 mm or 2.5 mm. A thicker gasket lowers compression and adds piston-to-head clearance, so measure deck height and set the thickness with your engine builder. The thickness shown is Siruda's figure at the combustion seal; the body thickness is in the specifications.
Siruda's grommet design puts a metal grommet around each bore to hold back combustion gas under high cylinder pressure, including the spikes that come with knock. The grommets are molybdenum coated to limit scuffing of the head and block faces, and a nitrile rubber coating on the gasket surface helps seal the coolant and oil passages.
Note: Sold individually. Installation by a professional is recommended. Engine internals must be measured and set up by a qualified engine builder.
