RSE Full Titanium Muffler Type-D - Toyota GR Yaris Gen 2 (GXPA16) - Dual Exit

The RSE (Real Speed Engineering) Full Titanium Muffler Type-D is built for the Gen 2 Toyota GR Yaris (GXPA16, G16E-GTS, built from April 2024 in Japan). It is made entirely from 1.0mm titanium with an 80.5mm main pipe (factory 70.0-62.0mm) and a tip each side, for the dual-exit rear view. It weighs 8.95kg against 13.9kg for the factory muffler, 4.95kg lighter right at the back of the car. RSE kept the silencers long to look after the sound quality as well as the flow.

It bolts to the factory front pipe on its own, or to the RSE Outlet Component for a complete RSE turbo-back system. Add the RSE Titanium Link Adapter between the two to keep the full 80.5mm bore through the joint. It comes as a complete bolt-on kit with the Sound Reducer Ver.2 insert, gaskets, bolts and anti-seize.

Which RSE parts work together

• Muffler only: RSE muffler on the factory (or factory-shape) front pipe. No adapter is used.
• Muffler + outlet component: bolts straight together, but the joint stays at the factory-size 70.0mm so it still suits factory-shape parts.
• Outlet component + factory muffler: fits the factory muffler or an aftermarket one with the factory joint position and flange (check other brands first). No adapter is used.
• Outlet component + link adapter + muffler: the RSE recommended setup, 80.5mm all the way from the turbo to the muffler.

Sound (RSE test, 4,875rpm)

• Muffler only: 88dB with the Sound Reducer Ver.2, 94dB with the Sound Reducer, 96dB with no reducer.
• With the RSE Outlet Component: 91dB / 98dB / 103dB.

Note: This muffler is for the Gen 2 GR Yaris only. The Gen 1 car has a different flange, so check your car's build date before ordering (the change came in April 2024 in Japan; Australian Gen 2 cars arrived from early 2025). Also available as the Type-R single exit. RSE makes this as a competition part and it is not sold as road-legal in Japan. Check your state's noise limits before road use. Australian and Japanese GR Yaris have no petrol particulate filter (GPF), so it suits local cars; European GPF cars are not covered. Installation by a professional is recommended.
