The HKS Fine Tune Timing Belt is a heavy-duty replacement belt for turbocharged Subaru EJ20 and EJ25 DOHC engines in the Impreza WRX and WRX STI, Forester GT / XT and Liberty GT. It is built for engines making more power and revs than standard, where stiffer valve springs, bigger cams and higher boost all put extra load on the belt. HKS moulds the teeth to their final shape instead of pressing them in, so no stress is left in the teeth, and the tooth faces are reinforced with aramid and nylon fibre over high-saturated H-NBR rubber. A heat- and water-resistant high-strength core holds tension steady as the engine heats up, which helps stop the belt jumping a tooth under high torque. It is the belt HKS designs to run with its Slide Cam Pulleys, and works just as well on a standard or adjustable cam gear setup.

Note: Suits DOHC turbo EJ20 and EJ25 engines only. The VA chassis is the WRX STI (EJ257); the VA WRX has the FA20 and is not covered. Not for SOHC non-turbo engines. Fitting is a full timing belt job; it is good practice to replace the tensioner, idlers and water pump at the same time. Installation by a professional is recommended.
