The Billet R3 is the most aggressive profile in the GSC R-Series range for the RB26DETT, designed for fully built engines targeting maximum power. With 291° intake / 294° exhaust advertised duration and 11.40mm intake / 11.50mm exhaust lift, the R3 set delivers significant top-end gains and is intended for race applications running upgraded turbos, fully built bottom ends, and high-RPM shift points. The reduced 30.5mm base circle works in conjunction with upgraded valve springs to support stable operation under demanding conditions.

Important Installation Notes

  • Cylinder head modification required - The R3 profile is not a drop-in fit. R-Series cams (R1, R1.5, R2, R3) require head work; only the S1/S2 profiles are bolt-in
  • Reduced base circle (30.5mm) - requires adjustment of valve clearances using appropriate shims
  • Upgraded valve springs are required - the R3 profile is not compatible with factory or low-pressure spring kits
  • Designed for fully built race engines - not intended for stock or lightly modified applications
  • Professional installation and degreeing recommended for correct camshaft timing and engine longevity
