The Alcon CAR89 “Motorsport” is a high-performance front brake caliper purpose-built for professional racing and high-demand track use. Machined from billet aerospace-grade aluminium, it offers a perfect balance of strength, rigidity, and reduced weight — ensuring consistent, confident braking in the harshest motorsport conditions.
Equipped with staggered stainless steel pistons in a 30.2mm / 34.9mm / 38.1mm configuration, the CAR89 delivers even pressure distribution across the pad surface to minimise taper wear and enhance braking control. 2kg anti-knock back springs keep pads firmly seated, while hard stainless steel wear plates protect critical caliper surfaces.
A bolted pad retainer improves caliper stiffness and can be removed for quick pad servicing. This caliper is designed to work with large, high-performance discs ranging from Ø355–390mm in diameter and 34–36mm in thickness, making it ideal for serious race builds.
