The Alcon CAR36 is a lightweight and robust 4-piston rear caliper engineered specifically for motorsport and track applications. Precision-machined from billet aerospace-grade aluminium, it offers the strength and thermal stability needed for consistent, high-performance braking under demanding conditions.
Available in two piston configurations — 25.4mm / 25.4mm and 28.6mm / 28.6mm — the CAR36 allows tuners and race teams to fine-tune rear brake balance based on vehicle setup and driving style. Stainless steel pistons come as standard, offering excellent resistance to heat transfer and improved fluid temperature control during long stints.
The caliper features 2kg anti-knock back springs to maintain consistent pad contact and a bolted pad retainer to increase rigidity. The retainer can be removed for quick and easy pad changes between sessions. Designed for disc diameters between ø280–343mm, the CAR36 is suitable for a wide range of motorsport platforms running 18” or larger wheels.
