We choose to carry accessories that match the exhaust brands and systems we sell, so diameters, gasket shapes and bolt patterns line up with the cat-backs, downpipes and headers customers are already running. That matters more than it sounds: a 3" V-band clamp from one manufacturer won't always match another brand's flange profile, and a donut gasket that's close but not correct will leak under load.
Buying the correct part first time avoids exhaust leaks, rattles and a second trip under the car. It also means one failed hanger doesn't turn into a full system replacement.
Fitment & Installation
Match clamps and flanges to the actual pipe outside diameter and bolt pattern of the section being joined, not just the vehicle model. Aftermarket systems often differ slightly from factory dimensions, and some AU-delivered variants use different rear hanger spacing again.
Gaskets are generally single-use. Once a joint has been separated, the old gasket rarely reseals. Most installers also replace exhaust studs and nuts at the same time, since factory hardware is usually rusted or seized by the time an exhaust comes apart. Anti-seize on the threads and a torque wrench on flange bolts make the next job far easier. Springs on ball-and-socket joints should be replaced in pairs so clamping pressure stays even.

Will these fit an exhaust I didn't buy from Chicane?
Usually. Clamps, gaskets and hangers are sized to common pipe diameters and factory mounting points, so they suit other brands too. Measure your pipe diameter and compare the listed dimensions before ordering.
Do I need a new gasket every time the exhaust comes apart?
Yes. Gaskets crush to seal the joint and rarely reseal once disturbed. Reusing an old one is the most common cause of a ticking exhaust leak.
What's the difference between a V-band and a U-bolt clamp?
A V-band uses matched flanges and gives a cleaner, near flush-sealing joint that's quick to undo, which suits downpipes and turbo outlets. A U-bolt clamps over a slip joint and is cheaper, but it crushes the pipe and is harder to reuse.
Can I fit these myself?
Clamps, hangers and springs are straightforward for anyone comfortable working under a properly supported car. Flange and gasket work is easier on a hoist, and a torque wrench is recommended on flange bolts.
