Brake Temp Sticker FAQs

Where is the best place to apply the stickers?

For calipers, apply the strip to the cleanest, flattest part of the caliper body. For rotors, stickers should be applied to the rotor "hat" or bell—never the friction surface—to monitor the heat transfer from the disc to the hub.

Why do I need these for track days?

Temperature stickers tell you if your brakes are operating within their "Goldilocks" zone. If the Alcon or AP Racing calipers you are using exceed 200°C, the fluid can boil. These stickers provide the evidence you need to adjust your driving or your cooling ducting.

Are the stickers reusable?

No. Thermal stickers permanently change colour once a specific temperature threshold is reached. This ensures that even after the brakes have cooled down in the pits, you have an accurate record of the maximum temperature reached on track.
