Suspension Secrets Adjustable Bump Steer Tie Rod Ends - Porsche Cayman GTS (981/718) - Billet Aluminium

Eliminate bump steer and significantly increase steering accuracy at the limit with Suspension Secrets Adjustable Bump Steer Tie Rod Ends for the Porsche 981 and 718 Cayman GTS. While lowering your Porsche on springs or coilovers is an excellent way to improve cornering grip, the lower ride height inherently alters your suspension geometry. This creates bump steer, which reduces steering feel and impedes driver confidence when pushing hard.

To completely remove this from the chassis, Suspension Secrets designed these fully adjustable stainless steel tie rod ends. They allow you to perfectly match the angle of the tie rods to the angle of your suspension arms, ensuring a static toe angle throughout the entire suspension stroke. This restores steering feel, reduces mid-corner understeer, and massively increases driver confidence at the limit.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, these components are CNC-machined from billet aircraft-grade 6082 T6 aluminium and corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel. To guarantee consistency and performance in all weather conditions, they utilise high-end SKF and Fluro motorsport-spec bearings—the same brands trusted by OE manufacturers and Formula 1 teams.

What is Bump Steer?

Bump steer is an undesirable change in the steering angle (toe) of the wheel as the suspension travels through bump or droop, occurring without any input to the steering wheel. This happens because the arc patterns of the wishbones and the steering arm have different radii and starting points.

It is highly problematic on roads or race tracks that contain bumps or aggressive kerbs. These undulations cause the suspension to constantly transition between bump and droop, meaning a car suffering from bump steer will constantly be shifting its own steering angle, severely destabilising the front end. These adjustable tie rod ends correct this geometric flaw.
