Supertech Dual Valve Spring Kit 70 lb - Subaru EJ25 Non-Turbo - Forester / Impreza / Liberty / Outback
Supertech dual valve spring kit for the non-turbo EJ25 engines (DOHC EJ25D and SOHC EJ251 / EJ252 / EJ253) in the Subaru Forester, Impreza RS, Liberty and Outback 2.5. It is a matched set of 16 springs, retainers and spring seat locators, rated at 70 lb @ 35.5mm on the seat and 209 lb @ 11.5mm open, for camshafts up to 13.80mm of valve lift. The dual (inner and outer) spring gives more seat and open pressure than the factory spring, to stop valve float with bigger cams and more boost.
Note: For the non-turbo EJ25 only. For the EJ20 / EJ25 turbo, see the turbo kits. Check spring installed height and coil bind against your camshaft before fitting. Installation by a professional engine builder is recommended.
