Siruda Stopper Metal Head Gasket - Mazda MX-5 (NA) - B6

The Siruda stopper metal head gasket is a multi-layer steel (MLS) head gasket for the B6 engine in the 1.6-litre Mazda MX-5 (NA). It is made for rebuilt and modified engines where the head seal has to hold more cylinder pressure than a factory gasket.

Choose the bore and thickness to suit your build. It comes in bore sizes of 79 mm or 85.8 mm and thicknesses of 1 mm or 1.2 mm. A thicker gasket lowers compression and adds piston-to-head clearance, so measure deck height and set the thickness with your engine builder. The thickness shown is Siruda's figure at the combustion seal; the body thickness is in the specifications.

Siruda's stopper design adds a stopper layer sandwiched between the steel layers around each bore. It keeps the combustion seal stable under engine vibration, and the compact seal suits engines with little room around the combustion chamber.

Note: Sold individually. Installation by a professional is recommended. Engine internals must be measured and set up by a qualified engine builder.
