Radium Engineering Fuel Vent Charcoal Canister Universal

OVERVIEW

The Radium Engineering fuel vent charcoal canister purifies odours that emit from the fuel tank vent system. It is designed for both EFI and carbureted fuel systems, making it easy to implement with existing Radium Fuel Cell Vent Kits.

TESTING

Comprehensive testing demonstrates the canister's effectiveness:

• Pressure Drop: Testing with a quick flow Radium Engineering dry break dump can showed negligible difference in flow restriction whether the charcoal canister was installed or not
• Fuel Vapour Reduction: Using a combustible gas detector (50 ppm to 10,000 ppm range):
  • Without canister: Over 10,000 ppm of fuel vapour detected
  • With canister: Less than 50 ppm - effectively eliminating detectable fuel vapour

CONSTRUCTION

Premium engineering and materials ensure long-lasting performance:

• CNC machined from 6061 aluminium
• Type-II anodised for maximum corrosion resistance
• Preassembled vibratory-packed activated carbon
• 150 micron strainer prevents loose carbon debris from escaping
• Anodised aluminium baffle for media containment
• 16AN ORB (1-5/16"-12) female ports for high flow fuel venting
• Ports can be used interchangeably as inlet or outlet

VARIANT OPTIONS

Universal (20-1828-00): Includes two 16AN ORB male to 10AN ORB female couplers. Ideal for classic cars with 1/4" (6mm), 5/16" (8mm), or 3/8" (10mm) vent lines.

For 1/2" Hose (20-1828-08): Standard flow kit designed for 1/2" fuel vent hose. Includes second outlet barbed fitting for optional 3/4" air filter installation. Integrates seamlessly with Radium Engineering fuel cell surge tank when combined with vent kit 20-0484-08.

For 3/4" Hose (20-1828-12): High flow kit designed for 3/4" fuel vent hose. Integrates seamlessly with Radium Engineering fuel cell surge tank when combined with vent kit 20-0484-12.

Service Kit (20-1828-SK): Recharge your canister when internal carbon becomes saturated. Kit includes fresh activated carbon and new 150 micron strainer for complete canister refresh.
