Radium Engineering Fuel Vent Charcoal Canister - Universal

The Radium Engineering fuel vent charcoal canister cleans the fuel odour that escapes from a fuel tank or fuel cell vent, and suits both EFI and carburettor systems. In Radium's testing the vent outlet measured over 10,000ppm of fuel vapour without the canister and under 50ppm with it fitted, while flow testing with a quick-fill dry break dump can showed negligible added restriction.

The body is CNC machined from 6061 aluminium and type-II anodised, filled with pre-assembled, vibratory-packed activated carbon held in by an anodised baffle and a 150 micron strainer. Two 16AN ORB female ports can be used interchangeably as inlet or outlet. Use the variant selector to choose: Universal (20-1828-00) with two 16AN ORB male to 10AN ORB female couplers for classic-car vent lines of 6–10mm; 1/2in Hose (20-1828-08) for standard-flow vent systems, pairing with Radium vent kit 20-0484-08; 3/4in Hose (20-1828-12) for high-flow quick-fill systems, pairing with vent kit 20-0484-12; or the Service Kit (20-1828-SK) to recharge a saturated canister.

Note: Servicing frequency depends on use – when the carbon becomes saturated, filtration drops and the canister can be dismantled and recharged with the service kit. Vent hose, air filter and vehicle-specific adapter fittings are sold separately. Installation by a professional is recommended.
