The Radium Engineering Fuel Hanger Surge Tank (FHST-RA) is built to stop fuel starvation in hard-driven BMW E90, E91, E92 and E93 3-Series models while giving you a path to higher-flow fuel pumps. It installs inside the factory saddle tank on the left-hand side, opposite the OEM pump, and holds one or two aftermarket pumps. The factory pump becomes a lift pump that keeps the surge tank full, while the FHST pump(s) feed the engine. No permanent modifications are needed and the system is fully E85 compatible.

The surge tank is filled from three sources – the OEM lift pump, return fuel from the integrated regulator and a one-way valve in the base – so it stays full even when the left side of the tank runs low under hard cornering. The integrated RA-series regulator runs 1:1 vacuum-referenced or static pressure, with tool-less adjustment in roughly 1psi detents, a 6-hole internal diverter to reduce aeration and a double O-ring swivelling vacuum port. Use the variant selector to choose the version that suits your pumps: 20-1970 for the Walbro GSS342 or AEM 50-1200, or 20-1972 for the Walbro F90000267/274/285.

Note: Fuel pumps are not included. A post-pump fuel filter is recommended (see the Radium 20-0475-0X kit), and dual-pump setups need the Radium 17-0031 wiring kit. The hanger also suits the E9X M3 fuel tank, but because the M3 uses a brushless pump you will need a way to trigger the surge tank pump(s). Not compatible with BMW 1-Series (E81/E82/E86/E87). Installation by a professional is recommended.
