This ARP head stud kit suits the 2JZ-GE / 2JZ-GTE engine in the Toyota Supra JZA80 / Aristo / Lexus IS300. It swaps the factory head bolts for studs, nuts and washers. The studs are wound into the block by hand and the head is clamped by torquing the nuts, which gives more even, repeatable clamping than factory stretch bolts and saves wear on the block threads each time the head comes off.

More clamping load helps the head gasket seal against high cylinder pressure, which is why head studs are one of the first parts fitted to a boosted or high-compression build.

Material: 8740 chrome moly rated at 200,000 psi tensile strength.
