MXP Exhausts | High-Durability Performance Systems
Premium Japanese engineering meets uncompromising value. At Chicane Australia, we provide specialised supply for MXP Exhausts. Born from the extensive expertise of Mackin Industries, MXP (Mackin eXtreme Products) systems are crafted from high-quality SUS304 stainless steel. By utilising slightly thicker gauge piping than competitors, MXP creates a richer, deeper exhaust note while ensuring long-term structural integrity. We facilitate fast sourcing and reliable delivery across Australia for their full range of cat-back systems and downpipes.
The MXP Engineering Philosophy & Series
MXP has built its reputation by focusing on the "Total Performance" of the exhaust. Every system is precision TIG welded and features mandrel-bent piping to ensure an unobstructed flow path. One of their standout technical features is the use of Helmholtz resonators in modern applications, which allows for an aggressive external sound while virtually eliminating cabin drone—perfect for daily-driven performance cars in the Australian environment.
Our sourcing capabilities cover the flagship MXP range:
• Comp RS Series: The enthusiast's choice for aggressive sound and value. Featuring a straight-through design and burnt titanium tips, popular for the Civic Type R (FL5/FK8) and WRX/STI (VA).
• SP Spec Series: A more refined, mature system that balances high-flow performance with a polished, OEM+ aesthetic. Ideal for the 86/BRZ (ZN6) and GR86/BRZ (ZN8).
• Turbo Downpipes & Front Pipes: High-flow stainless steel components designed to reduce backpressure and accelerate turbo spool for Honda and Subaru turbocharged platforms.
• Titanium Accessories: Including precision-machined shift knobs and titanium end caps that complement their exhaust hardware.
Based on the Central Coast, NSW, we provide the technical expertise to assist you in selecting the correct MXP system for your chassis. We work closely with our supply network to ensure your authentic Mackin hardware is sourced and despatched with professional care and speed.
MXP Exhaust FAQ
Is the MXP Comp RS too loud for daily driving?
The Comp RS is designed to be aggressive, but MXP incorporates Helmholtz resonators in many applications (like the FL5) to target and cancel out drone frequencies. This allows for a loud, sporty note when you're on the throttle without the "head-buzzing" bass during highway cruising.
Why does MXP use thicker stainless steel?
MXP uses a slightly thicker gauge of SUS304 stainless steel compared to some lightweight competitors. While this adds a small amount of weight, it significantly improves the durability of the system and creates a much deeper, more "solid" exhaust note by reducing thin-wall vibration.
How quickly can you source MXP products?
We utilise a robust international and local supply network to provide the fastest possible turnaround. Most Comp RS systems for popular Japanese performance platforms are sourced and despatched within a short timeframe for delivery nationwide.
