The Radium Engineering PCV Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit (SKU 20-0838-FL) runs inline between the PCV valve and intake manifold on the 2005-2023 Tacoma. At idle, cruise and on deceleration the PCV hoses see metered vacuum that would otherwise pull crankcase vapour, unburnt fuel and oil sludge into the manifold – the can traps these first.

Radium cans are pressure sealed, so a direct manifold connection is fine without a check valve. The can mounts to threaded bosses on the inner guard. Radium's Fluid Lock® can uses a patented mechanism that prevents the reservoir from overfilling and spilling collected contaminants back into the intake, a common problem with conventional cans that are not emptied regularly. For full coverage, pair it with the 20-0839-FL CCV kit or choose the 20-0840-FL dual kit.

Note: Collection rates vary between vehicles, so there is no set emptying interval – check the dipstick after 3-4 weeks of driving and adjust from there. Empty by unscrewing the lower reservoir, or fit the optional Radium Petcock Drain Kit where there is room under the can. Excessive oil collection can point to engine issues such as high blow-by, an overfilled sump or a leaking PCV valve.
