When braking hard, excessive heat can transfer through the caliper pistons to the calipers and brake fluid, causing fluid overheat and brake fade. Fluid fade results in a soft brake pedal and poor modulation—dangerous when pushing the limits on track. Paragon titanium shims help prevent this, improving braking performance and safety.

They also extend the life of caliper seals, dust boots, and brake fluid by reducing overall caliper temperatures. A cost-effective solution to prevent common issues such as caliper discolouration and boiled brake fluid after heavy track use.
