GrimmSpeed built its reputation engineering serious performance hardware for the Subaru platform, and this short throw shifter is one of its most detailed projects yet. Rather than chopping down a stock lever, GrimmSpeed 3D scanned the factory STI shifter and linkage and modelled a completely new unit in CAD, aiming for sharper engagement without giving up OEM comfort or fitment.

This listing covers the 2004-2021 Subaru STI 6-speed manual, fitting the GDB, GRF, GVF and VAB chassis. Throw reduction is adjustable from 0% to 26.3%, and shift knob height can be set from +7.6mm to -25.4mm relative to stock, with laser etched reference marks for precise adjustment.

Note: at the most aggressive throw setting, minor rubbing may occur between the shift linkage and the rubber gasket in 1st and 3rd gears. The etched marks indicate the maximum recommended setting before this occurs.

• Bearings: Enduro MAX sealed ball bearings with snap rings, 35-40% higher load capacity than standard radial bearings
• Thread: accepts all M12x1.25 shift knobs
• Hardware: stainless M5 x 0.8 cap screws included
• Reverse lockout: retains OEM cable operation
• Install: direct bolt-on, no console trimming required
