AEM EV builds its Battery Management System components for the demands of serious EV conversion and motorsport projects, where reliable cell monitoring is critical to both performance and safety. The Satellite Module (SKU 30-8408) expands the capability of an AEM EV Master Module, giving builders a scalable way to monitor larger or more complex battery pack configurations without redesigning the whole BMS architecture.

This listing covers the AEM EV Unsealed Satellite Module, suited to any Universal battery pack build using an AEM EV Master Module as the core controller. Each Satellite adds monitoring for up to 18 additional cells and 3 additional thermistors, and multiple units can be daisy chained via isoSPI to suit whatever pack size the application requires.

Note: A Satellite Module cannot operate on its own — every battery pack requires at least one AEM EV Master Module for the VCU to communicate with the BMS.
