COBB Tuning | The Accessport & Performance Calibration

COBB Accessport support in Australia centres on Subaru WRX and STI (including Forester XT) and Mitsubishi Evo X. COBB Australia also has Accessport support for AUDM Ford Mustang and Focus RS, but not the Fiesta ST, that platform isn't part of our COBB range and we won't sell you something that doesn't work on your car. If your platform isn't listed here, ask us before you buy, ECU hardware revisions and local tuning restrictions can affect compatibility.

We don't currently stock COBB intercooler, BOV or fuel system hardware, those categories exist in COBB's global range but aren't part of what we bring in for AU customers. If you need supporting hardware for a Stage 2 or higher build, ask us and we'll point you to what we do stock.

COBB built its name on the Accessport: one handheld unit that flashes a proper, dyno-tested map to your ECU in minutes. No laptop tuning sessions, no guesswork. Their OTS maps are matched to specific hardware combinations, so a Stage 1 map assumes a stock car or one running a COBB intake, and a Stage 2 map assumes supporting bolt-ons. We recommend COBB to customers who want a safe, proven power step without booking in for a custom dyno tune straight away.

Accessport hardware has gone through several revisions over the years. If you're buying a unit second-hand or upgrading from an older Accessport, check which hardware version and firmware your car needs before you install anything.

COBB does not support WRX models from 2001 to 2007, so if you're running an early GD chassis, the Accessport isn't an option regardless of firmware. MY15+ WRX and MY15+ STI (VA generation) run different maps to the older GD/GH STI and GR/GV WRX, even though both are common on Australian roads. The VA cars use a different ECU and COBB treats them as a separate map set to the GD/GH generation, so an OTS map built for one will not simply carry across to the other. Forester XT owners need to double check their model year too, as Forester ECU calibrations don't always track the same release schedule as WRX. If you're not sure which OTS map suits your current mods and generation, get in touch before flashing.
