Caliper Rebuild Kits

Caliper Rebuild Kits

Caliper Rebuild Kits are the fix we reach for before anyone talks about buying new calipers. We sell everything from seal kits for tired factory sliding calipers on daily driven Corollas to full rebuild sets for seized fixed calipers on track-day Evos, and most of the time a full rebuild gets you back to like-new function for a fraction of the hassle of sourcing replacements. This range covers seal kits, piston kits and full rebuild sets for a wide spread of Japanese and European applications.

Shop by Vehicle

We stock rebuild kits across popular platforms including Subaru WRX/STI, Toyota 86/GR86 and Supra, Nissan Silvia, Skyline and GT-R, Mazda RX-7 and MX-5, Honda Civic Type R and Integra, plus common European fitments from VW, BMW and Audi. If you're not sure which kit suits your caliper casting, send us the caliper part number or a clear photo and we'll match it up.

Shop by Product Type

The range includes full caliper rebuild kits (seals, pistons, boots and clips), seal-only kits for calipers with good pistons, and piston sets where corrosion or pitting is the culprit. We also carry the small parts that get missed on a rebuild, like guide pin boots and retaining hardware.

Why Rebuild Instead of Replace

A seized slider, a weeping seal or a sticking piston doesn't always mean the caliper is done. Most factory calipers are cast well and simply need fresh rubber and a clean bore to work properly again. We recommend rebuild kits for cars where the caliper body is in good condition, and we're upfront when a caliper is too far gone (deep pitting, cracked casting) and a replacement or upgrade to a Performance Brake Caliper is the better call.

Fitment & Installation

Match the kit to your exact caliper casting number, not just the model and year, since many platforms ran more than one caliper design across their production run. Bores need to be honed clean and free of pitting before new seals go in. Brake fluid should always be flushed and bled after any rebuild, and we'd suggest doing both sides of an axle at the same time for even braking.

FAQ

Will a rebuild kit fit my caliper if it's been reconditioned before?
Yes, as long as the caliper casting hasn't been changed or machined outside spec. Match by casting number to be sure.

Do I need any special tools to rebuild a caliper?
A piston removal tool (or compressed air), circlip pliers and a clean workspace are the main requirements. No specialist equipment beyond that.

Can I rebuild just one caliper, or should I do both sides?
You can rebuild one, but we recommend doing both sides of an axle together so braking stays even.

Do these kits come with new pistons?
Some do and some are seals only. Check the individual listing, and get in touch if you're not sure which one you need.

Not sure which kit matches your caliper? Get in touch with the casting number and we'll sort it.
