Subaru Forester XT SJ Performance Parts & Upgrades
The Subaru Forester XT (SJ) was sold in Australia from 2013 to 2018, with the 2.0L FA20 direct-injection turbo engine, a CVT automatic and all-wheel drive. It shares its engine with the WRX (VA) and Levorg (VM), so many engine and turbo parts cross over. Popular upgrades for the Forester XT
- Intake and turbo: the aFe Takeda intake, COBB cast turbo inlet, PERRIN boost control solenoid and throttle body coupler, and GFB blow-off valves.

Choosing the Right Part
- XT or non-turbo: engine, intake and exhaust parts on this page are for the XT's turbo engine. The non-turbo Forester has a different engine, but suspension and brake parts often suit both.
- SJ, SH or SK: check the chassis code in the title. Many suspension parts are shared with the SH, but the later SK uses different parts.
- Model year: some PERRIN and engine parts are listed for 2015-on cars only. Check the years in the title.
Installation
Have a qualified workshop fit engine, suspension and brake parts. Get a wheel alignment after any suspension change, and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work. Turbo, intake and exhaust upgrades need a tune to suit; ask us if you're unsure.
