PRL Motorsports High Volume Intake System - Honda Civic Type R (FK8)

PRL's High Volume Intake System replaces the FK8 Civic Type R's factory airbox with a 152mm (6") cone filter in a rotomoulded HDPE airbox that uses the factory air duct and seal to limit heat soak. A two-piece MAF housing with velocity stacks keeps fuel trims close to factory for good drivability. On a stock-equivalent tune, PRL's dyno testing showed about 8–9 kW (11–12 hp) more at peak and up to 24 kW (32 hp) more through the mid-range than the factory intake.

Two MAF housing options are available. The Standard Bore housing needs no ECU calibration. The Big Bore housing is rated to 600+ hp, flows 47% more than the factory housing and suits builds over 335 kW (450 hp), but it requires a MAF-specific calibration.

Note: As supplied, the kit suits the factory turbo inlet pipe. The Big Bore option needs a MAF scaling tune before the car is driven. Installation by a professional is recommended.
