Wavetrac Differential Install Kit - Volkswagen 02A / Early 02J Gearbox - OEM Bearings & ARP Bolts
Installing a Wavetrac differential shouldn't mean hunting down individual components from multiple suppliers. Autotech has put together everything you need in one kit, pairing ARP's renowned fastener hardware with genuine Volkswagen OEM components to make the job straightforward and reliable. It's a practical, cost-effective solution for anyone fitting a Wavetrac diff into a Volkswagen 5-speed gearbox.
This listing covers the install kit for the Volkswagen 02A and early 02J 5-speed manual gearbox platforms. This kit is not compatible with late 02J (02J-B) models — those require install kit 10.398.002K.
Important: This kit does not suit late 02J (02J-B) gearboxes. If you have a late 02J application, you will need install kit # 10.398.002K instead.

- ARP bolt kit — part # 204-3002
- 2x OEM differential carrier bearings with races
- 1x OEM Volkswagen speedometer drive gear
- 1x OEM Volkswagen 5th gear end cover gasket
- 4x OEM Volkswagen selector shaft o-rings
- 4x OEM Volkswagen pinion shaft support o-rings
