Torque Solution Equal Length Header - Subaru WRX (GE / GH) / WRX STI (GD / GR / GV / VA) / Liberty GT (BL / BP) / Forester XT (SG)

The Torque Solution 2-bolt equal length header is a direct replacement for the factory STI header on the EJ engine in the Subaru WRX (2008–2014), WRX STI (2004–2021), Liberty GT (2005–2009) and Forester XT (2004–2008). Equal length runners give the turbo a smoother, stronger exhaust pulse, so it flows more and spools sooner than the OEM unequal length manifold.

It's built from 304 stainless tubing with a 2.8mm wall, 1 7/8in mandrel-bent primaries and a 2.5in secondary into a forged stainless 4-1 merge collector, fully TIG welded and back purged. Slip joints make it easier to fit on decked blocks, and Torque Solution has confirmed it clears all the popular oil pans. Pair it with a stock-location or aftermarket turbo setup that uses a 2-bolt up-pipe.

In Bader Built Racing's testing on a stock-location DOS100 turbo STI, the header ran 9.14 sec at 154 mph and made 733 whp and 629 wtq at 30 psi. Back to back against a competitor's header it gained 15 whp and 21 wtq at peak, up to 46 whp and 57 wtq in the midrange, and spooled a few hundred rpm earlier.

Note: WRX and STI with the 2.0L EJ20 (1994–2005) must use an EJ25 oil pan for this header to fit. 2006–2007 cars already have the 2.5L and its pan. Needs a 2-bolt up-pipe (sold separately). We recommend the GrimmSpeed 2-Bolt Up-Pipe with a new GrimmSpeed up-pipe to turbo gasket. Being equal length, it removes the EJ's boxer rumble. Made for off-road and competition use, and a tune is recommended after fitting. Installation by a professional is recommended.
