PARAGON Caliper Temperature Indicator Strips Universal Pack of 10

PARAGON Caliper Temperature Indicator Strips - Universal - Pack of 10

Paragon caliper temperature indicator strips record the peak temperature your brake calipers reach on the track or the street. Each self-adhesive label is oil and water resistant and changes colour permanently as each step is reached, so you can read the highest temperature after a session. The pack of 10 strips reads from 121°C to 280°C.

Paragon's guide to the readings: below 121°C nothing shows and the calipers are cooler than ideal for track work; 121–166°C is the ideal track operating range; 188–232°C is hot but acceptable, so check the calipers for leaks after each event; 232–280°C is too hot, so replace the seals as soon as possible, inspect the whole brake system and work on reducing the temperature.

Note: Stick each strip to a clean, smooth, dry area of the caliper body where you can read it easily. Installation by a professional is recommended.
