AEM Sensors

Pressure sensor kits are offered in brass and stainless bodies with ratings such as 100, 150, 500, 1000 and 2000 PSIG, plus a 1 Bar 15 PSIA option. MAP sensor kits are available in 2, 3.5, 5 and 7 Bar ranges. Temperature sensing is covered by air, water and fluid temperature sensor kits in 1/8in and 3/8in NPT, a DTM-style air temperature kit, an RTD-type sensor and K-type closed tip thermocouples in sets of two or four. Also included are Bosch, Bosch LSU 4.9 and FAE wideband UEGO replacement sensors, the EMS wideband O2 sensor kit, ethanol content flex fuel sensor kits (including a -6AN version) and Nissan cam angle sensor discs.

Universal sensors are selected by specification rather than vehicle, so check the thread or fitting size (for example 1/8in NPT male, 3/8in NPT or -6AN), the measurement range in PSIG or Bar, and the body material. Match the sensor output and connector type to the inputs available on your ECU, dash or gauge. Vehicle-specific items list their fitment in the title, such as the cam angle sensor discs for Nissan SR20DET RWD/KA24DE applications and Nissan Skyline GT-R chassis codes BNR32, BCNR33 and BNR34. Confirm the chassis code, engine code and existing sensor thread on your car before ordering, and compare against the AEM part specifications.

Sensor installation typically involves sealing threaded ports, routing and terminating wiring, and configuring or calibrating the channel within your ECU, dash or gauge software. Expect to need thread sealant or the supplied adapters, crimp tools for connector pins, and in some cases a welded or clamped bung for exhaust-mounted oxygen sensors. Incorrect calibration, wiring or placement can produce inaccurate readings and may risk engine damage, so installation and setup by a qualified automotive professional is recommended.

What is the difference between brass and stainless sensor kits? Brass kits are the standard option, while stainless kits use a stainless body and are typically supplied with -4AN and 3/16in adapters as noted in the title.
