Nitto Forged Pistons - Nissan RB30 SOHC - Commodore (VL) / Skyline (R31)

Nitto's standard-stroke forged pistons suit the single-cam RB30E and RB30ET found in the VL Commodore and R31 Skyline. They replace the factory pistons with a forged CP Carrillo design, making them a solid base for a turbo street car, drag build or circuit engine.

Choose the compression first, then the bore. The high compression piston has a 3 cc (86.5 mm) or 4 cc (87.0 mm) dish, while the low compression version uses a 12 cc (86.5 mm) or 13 cc (87.0 mm) dish for higher boost. Both come in 86.5 mm (+0.020") and 87.0 mm (+0.040") bore sizes and have two valve reliefs to suit the SOHC head.

Nitto pistons are made by CP Carrillo to Nitto's own specification and are forged from CP's low-silicon 2618 aluminium in the Turbo HD forging. Each set comes with a PVD-coated ring set for strong bore sealing under boost, plus CP 9310 wrist pins that are Rockwell tested, case hardened and cryogenically treated.

Note: Installation by a professional is recommended. Engine internals must be measured and set up by a qualified engine builder.

Nitto parts are built for racing and off-road use. Inspect every part during assembly and blueprinting, and contact us before fitting if anything measures outside tolerance.
