We source AST and MOTON suspension for customers building fast road cars and dedicated track cars. Both brands are Dutch-engineered and cover everything from a well-sorted street coilover through to full motorsport dampers for GT and time attack builds. If you're chasing consistent damping under load, whether that's a Sydney track day at Sydney Motorsport Park or a full weekend at The Bend, this is the range we point serious customers towards.

Why AST x MOTON
AST and MOTON share monotube construction and inverted strut design across most of the range, which gives strong heat dissipation and consistent damping when a car is worked hard for extended periods. AST is the brand we recommend for a fast street car or club-level track day car. MOTON sits above it, built for professional GT and touring car racing where teams need a wide adjustment range and high-displacement damping.
On a GR Yaris, most of our customers are running the AST 5100 (1-way) as a genuine daily and weekend track car setup. It's enough adjustment to firm up the front end for a track day without making the car unliveable on Sydney roads. A GR Yaris built for serious time attack work starts to suit the 5200 (2-way), where you can separate bump and rebound properly.
M2, M3 and M4 owners doing club-level track days are usually well served by the 5200. Cars stepping up to full motorsport use, splitter and wing, slicks, dedicated track weekends, are where we start talking about MOTON. It's overkill for a street car and most owners never use the full adjustment range.
Porsche 911 GT-class cars are the platform where MOTON gets specced most often through us, generally paired with a customer's existing motorsport aero and tyre package rather than as a first suspension upgrade.
Fitment & Installation
Coilover and damper kits are often built to order, so lead times and exact spec can vary by platform and by how the car is being used (street, club track day or full motorsport). Camber plates and top mounts should be matched to your specific kit and intended ride height.
Lowering a GR Yaris or Golf R more than a moderate amount can bring front guard liners and inner arch clearance into play, check this before committing to a ride height. On BMW M3/M4 and Porsche 911 platforms, factory brake lines and ABS sensor wiring can foul against lowered arms or hubs at extreme ride heights, so it pays to have this checked at fitment rather than after the car's back on the ground. Get in touch with us before ordering if you're unsure which series or valving suits your car and how you drive it.
Pair with the rest of your build
DIXCEL brake pads and rotors to match the extra grip and load these platforms carry once suspension is sorted
KORSH hardware for further chassis and suspension refinement
FAQWhat is the difference between AST and MOTON?
They share core technology, but AST is set up for high-performance street use, track days and club racing. MOTON is the motorsport brand, built for professional GT and touring car racing where teams need maximum adjustment range and high-displacement damping.
Are AST and MOTON coilovers rebuildable?
Yes. Both AST and MOTON dampers are fully serviceable. They can be rebuilt and re-valved if your spring rates change or your car's setup moves toward more aero load or a different use case.
How long does it take to get AST x MOTON parts?
Some kits are built to order, particularly the higher-end motorsport dampers. Contact us for current lead times on your specific vehicle and series before ordering.
Do these coilovers suit street use as well as track use?
Yes. The AST 5000 Series is commonly run as a street and track day setup, while MOTON dampers are aimed more at dedicated motorsport builds. Tell us how you plan to use the car and we can point you to the right series.
