Turbosmart IWG75 Wastegate Actuator - VW Golf GTI (Mk4) / Audi A3 (8L) - 1.8T K03 5psi
The Turbosmart IWG75 is an upgraded internal wastegate actuator for the factory K03 turbocharger on the 1.8 litre turbo engine in the Volkswagen Golf GTI (Mk4) and Audi A3 (8L). A larger effective diaphragm area and revised springs give it a higher working ratio than the factory actuator, so peak boost arrives earlier in the rev range and is held for longer, giving a broader boost and torque curve.
Note: Suits the K03 turbo only - not the K04 fitted to higher-output versions such as the S3. Turbosmart also lists the 1.8T K03 Skoda Octavia and Seat Leon. Running a higher base spring pressure than factory is likely to require ECU tuning and recalibration. Installation by a professional is recommended.
