Turbosmart eBG50 Electronic BoostGate 50 - Charge Air Valve
The Turbosmart eBG50 BoostGate is a 50mm electronically actuated, zero-offset butterfly valve made from billet aluminium for charge pipe boost control. Unlike an external wastegate, which bypasses exhaust gas around the turbine, charge air control bleeds compressed air from the charge pipe to control boost directly. It suits applications such as drag racing where the turbo is already optimised and the turbine is not the limiting factor.
Note: Uses a Zero-Backdrive gearbox to reduce power draw. Requires a dual H-bridge output to drive the actuator (for example the Turbosmart BlackBox). Installation by a professional is recommended.
