The PRL Motorsports High Volume Intake System and Titanium Turbocharger Inlet Bundle for the Honda Civic Type R FL5 combines two of PRL’s most advanced components to maximise airflow, turbo efficiency, and throttle response while maintaining OEM drivability.

The High Volume Intake features a massive 6" cone air filter housed within a high-density rotomoulded airbox that seals to the factory hood duct. This design ensures cool, consistent airflow and significantly reduces heat soak. Testing confirmed a 133% increase in airflow compared to the factory system, translating to improved performance on both street and track. The intake utilises PRL’s stepped silicone couplers to provide smooth airflow transitions, minimising resistance and maintaining precise fuel trims – no ECU calibration required.

The Titanium Turbocharger Inlet complements the intake by eliminating restriction before the turbocharger. The cast aluminium inlet transitions from a gasket-matched 64mm compressor opening to a lightweight 80mm OD titanium crossover pipe with a 78mm internal diameter. This design increases airflow volume by over 50% compared to the factory inlet pipe, improving turbo spool and low-end response. The result is a sharper, freer-revving engine that breathes efficiently through every gear.

Both components are precision-engineered by PRL Motorsports for direct bolt-on installation, using factory mounting points and sensors. The combination of premium materials, refined design, and real-world testing makes this bundle one of the most effective upgrades available for the FL5 platform.
