ARP 2000 Head Stud Kit - Mitsubishi 6G72 DOHC - GTO / 3000GT (Z16A)

This ARP head stud kit suits the 6G72 DOHC V6 engine in the Mitsubishi GTO / 3000GT. It swaps the factory head bolts for studs, nuts and washers. The studs are wound into the block by hand and the head is clamped by torquing the nuts, which gives more even, repeatable clamping than factory stretch bolts and saves wear on the block threads each time the head comes off.

More clamping load helps the head gasket seal against high cylinder pressure, which is why head studs are one of the first parts fitted to a boosted or high-compression build.

Material: ARP2000 rated at 220,000 psi tensile strength.

Before you order: DOHC 6G72 only. The SOHC 6G72 in the Magna/Verada is a different engine.
