Got It Rex GIR Firewall / Pedal Reinforcement Plate - Subaru WRX 2008–2014 (GE / GH / GR / GV) - 5-Speed
The firewall around the clutch pedal is a common failure point on 2008–2014 WRX models with the 5-speed push-type clutch. As the clutch nears the end of its life the pedal gets heavier, more force is transferred through the pedal to the master cylinder, and the firewall flexes until hairline cracks develop. This laser-cut GIR plate reinforces the area.
This listing covers the GIR-CMR reinforcement plate for 2008–2014 Subaru WRX 5-speed models.
Note: The plate is designed to be plug-welded in place without fully stripping the vehicle; some owners also fit it as a bolt-in stiffener. TIG welding is recommended, and installation by a professional is recommended.
