Fuel injectors create pressure pulses every time they open and close, and at high flow rates those pulses are strong enough to cause idle surge, lean AFR spikes, and tuning headaches that are nearly impossible to calibrate away. This listing covers the 20-0777 V2 FPD-XR with 8AN ORB male threads. This is the extended range damper (black anodised top) suited to high-pressure fuel systems with a base static pressure of 40–105 psi. If your base static pressure falls within 40–70 psi, the shorter FPD-R (20-0776) may be more appropriate for space-constrained installations.

Important: The 40–105 psi range refers to base static fuel pressure only — measured with the pump running and no vacuum line connected to the regulator. Dynamic pressure rises produced by a rising rate fuel pressure regulator under boost are acceptable beyond this range, provided base static pressure is set within the specified window and the vacuum/boost reference line is connected.
