The Cusco Type RS Front Limited Slip Differential (LSD) is designed to maximise traction and power delivery for the Honda Civic Type R FK8 and FL5. Proven in the All Japan Gymkhana Championship, the Type RS LSD delivers exceptional performance and durability, operating an entire season of competition without the need for overhaul.
Using Cusco’s advanced plate and spring design, the Type RS LSD offers 50–70% lower initial torque compared to traditional cone-plate differentials. This reduces internal friction and ensures faster response with smoother engagement. The result is improved drive out of corners, more consistent traction, and reduced understeer under load. Even during extended circuit use, clutch plate wear and noise are minimised for long-term reliability.
