Their Turbo Tuff® I-Beam connecting rods are forged from 4340 aircraft-quality vacuum degassed steel, featuring a unique ribbing and shot-peening process that makes them nearly indestructible in 1000hp+ environments. Complementing these are the Platinum Series pistons, forged from 2618 high-strength alloy and featuring offset wrist pins for quiet cold starts—a critical detail for high-performance street engines in the Australian climate.

Manley Performance FAQ

What is the difference between H-Beam and Turbo Tuff I-Beam rods?

The H-Beam is a lightweight, strong rod ideal for high-revving N/A or moderate boost builds (up to approx. 600hp). The Turbo Tuff I-Beam is significantly heavier and more robust, specifically engineered for extreme forced induction where cylinder pressures are high enough to bend standard rods.

Do Manley pistons come with rings and pins?

Yes, all Manley Platinum Series piston kits are supplied as a complete set including high-quality piston rings, chrome-moly wrist pins, and round wire locks. For extreme builds, we can also source upgraded 9310 alloy wrist pins for additional strength.
