Overview
The Process West Top Mount Intercooler Kit for the Subaru Forester XT (2004–2007) with 02 STI bonnet scoop is engineered to be the most effective top mount intercooler upgrade available. Designed to address critical airflow issues and cooling inefficiencies in factory and competitor systems, this intercooler maximises power, lowers intake temperatures, and maintains consistency under load.

Performance by Design
Unlike other options, this kit includes a properly sized splitter to match the larger intercooler core. Without it, much of the increased surface area goes unused due to poor airflow distribution. The Process West combination ensures the entire intercooler is exposed to cool, ambient air for optimal performance.

Core Thickness That Works
Bigger isn’t always better. Many intercoolers use overly thick cores that choke airflow, especially in top mount applications. This unit features a 90mm thick core—thin enough to allow efficient flow while large enough to effectively transfer heat. The result is lower intake temps and more consistent power delivery.

Efficient Y-Pipe Included
Most aftermarket Y-pipes fail to distribute charge air evenly. The Process West silicone Y-pipe ensures balanced airflow across the entire core for smooth, efficient operation. It’s a key part of the system’s superior cooling performance.

Proven Results
Dyno tests on a comparable WRX showed gains from 90kW to 115.5kW at the wheels with a drop in outlet temperature from 66°C to 51°C. Road testing in demanding conditions saw the intercooler outlet temp stay under 43°C, compared to 72°C with the factory unit. This means better performance, especially during repeated pulls or track use.
