aFe Takeda Momentum Cold Air Intake

The Takeda Momentum cold air intake is aFe's import-focused, sealed-housing system for the G16E-GTS engine. A one-piece sealed housing made from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) draws cool air while shielding the filter from engine bay heat, and a dyno-tuned intake tube optimises flow. A clear sight window lets you check the filter without removing any parts, and the system retains the factory air scoop.

Dyno-proven gains run up to +25 hp and +21 lb-ft, with the system outflowing the factory intake by up to 28% (measured around 280–295 CFM @ 7" H₂O). It's offered with a choice of filter media: the oiled Pro 5R five-layer cotton gauze for maximum flow, or the oil-free Pro DRY S three-layer synthetic for low-maintenance, dust-tolerant performance — the better pick for dusty Australian conditions. An optional Takeda Dynamic Air Scoop (DAS) is available to further reduce inlet restriction.

aFe Gemini XV Cat-Back Exhaust

The Gemini XV cat-back is a 304 stainless steel system that steps from 3" down to dual 2.5" piping, engineered specifically for the GR Corolla. It frees up exhaust flow behind the catalytic converter while delivering the aggressive, motorsport-inspired tone the Gemini XV line is known for, and bolts on using the factory hangers for a direct fit.

Paired with the Takeda Momentum intake, it gives the G16E-GTS a complete intake-and-exhaust airflow upgrade — letting the little turbo triple breathe in and out more freely for sharper response across the rev range.

Fitment

The Takeda Momentum intake fits the 2023+ Toyota GR Corolla (GZEA14R) and the 2021+ GR Yaris (GXPA16), both running the G16E-GTS 1.6L turbo three-cylinder. The Gemini XV cat-back is GR Corolla–specific. GR Yaris owners can find the same intake on our Toyota GR Yaris collection.

Installation

Both parts are direct bolt-ons. The intake installs in around 30–60 minutes with basic hand tools, requires no cutting, and needs no tune to run — it integrates with the factory sensors and air scoop. The cat-back uses the factory hanger locations. As with all aFe systems, the supplied stainless clamps and silicone couplers make for a secure, OEM-style fit.
