Radium FPD-R Fuel Pulse Dampener – Universal 3/8" NPT

Radium Engineering designs this fuel pulse dampener to solve a real and common problem in performance fuel systems. Every time an injector opens and closes, it sends a pressure pulse rippling back through the fuel rail. Left unchecked, those pulses cause unstable fuel pressure, idle surge with high-flow injectors, and lean AFR spikes that are notoriously difficult to tune around. The FPD-R absorbs these oscillations via an internal diaphragm, keeping rail pressure stable across the entire RPM range.

This listing covers the FPD-R model with a 3/8" NPT male threaded fitting — SKU 20-0178. This is a universal fitment dampener suited to any vehicle where the base static fuel pressure falls within the 40–70 PSI operating range. For systems running higher base static pressures (up to 105 PSI), the FPD-XR is the appropriate choice.

Important: The FPD-R is rated for a base static fuel pressure of 40–70 PSI. On boosted vehicles running a rising-rate fuel pressure regulator, dynamic pressure above 70 PSI is acceptable — however the vacuum/boost reference line must be connected to maintain correct diaphragm operation. Base static pressure must still fall within the specified range.
