Radium Engineering Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit PCV – Nissan S13 SR20DET

The Radium Engineering PCV catch can kit is designed to run inline between the PCV valve and the intake manifold in the Nissan S13. The catch can mounts to threaded bosses on the RH strut tower, just clear of the fuel filter. This kit helps prevent the intake manifold from drawing in unwanted crankcase vapor, unspent fuel, and oil sludge, especially after a high-load run.

When the intake manifold pressure is close to or greater than atmospheric pressure, the PCV "check" valve closes, and the hose experiences no flow. During idling, steady-state cruising, and deceleration, the PCV hoses experience metered vacuum, drawing out harmful vapors before they can enter the intake manifold. This keeps the intake system cleaner and ensures smoother engine performance.

Notes:

1. The PCV catch can kit is compatible with and recommended to be used with the CCV catch can kit (see 20-0726).

2. No extra inline check valve is required since Radium catch cans are pressure sealed.
