This camshaft set is designed for the RB25DE(T) with NVCS (Nissan Valve timing Control System) found in the R33 early model Skyline. The Spec-R profile features R.S.E.'s VALC (Variable Aggressive Lobe Contour) design, which opens the valves faster and for longer compared to conventional profiles, increasing the area under the lift curve for improved airflow and power. The VALC profile also ensures a controlled valve closing rate, reducing stress on the valve train at high RPM.
