HKS S-Type Oil Cooler Kit – Subaru BRZ (FA20)

The HKS Oil Cooler Kit for the Toyota 86 ZN6 and Subaru BRZ ZC6 (NA engine) is a redesigned, cost-effective solution for managing oil temperatures during spirited and circuit driving. The kit installs easily with no major chassis modification and includes everything required for a complete bolt-on fit.

Product Overview

This kit mounts the oil cooler core in front of the radiator for strong cooling efficiency. Pre-assembled hoses, brackets, and an air guide simplify installation. A special spacer and centre bolt are included so the oil cooler attachment can be installed cleanly without modifying the oil filter mounting area.

The 15-layer core offers improved cooling performance in a compact design, suitable for NA engines that regularly experience elevated oil temperatures on track.

Without an oil cooler, oil temperature reached 140°C within 5 minutes, forcing cool-down laps. With the HKS Oil Cooler Kit, oil temperature stayed around 115°C for a full 30-minute session with no issues.
