HKS Oil Cooler Kit – Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9 (4G63)

The HKS Oil Cooler Kit for the Lancer Evolution IX CT9A improves on the factory oil cooling system by adding a twin-core layout for increased cooling capacity. The kit works together with the stock oil cooler and is designed to stabilise oil temperature during hard street and circuit use.

Product Overview

The twin-core system mounts in the left bumper area and uses an HKS-designed core that maintains oil pressure despite longer oil lines. This ensures reliable lubrication at high RPM and during extended high-load driving. When combined with the optional low-temperature thermostat (15999-AM001), overall cooling efficiency and engine stability are further improved.

Notes for Installation

• If using an intercooler spray system, the spray tank must be removed
• A replacement washer tank (Nissan PN: 27480-H1001) is required when deleting the spray tank
• Air guide modification may be needed when using stock intercooler piping

HKS Test Data

Testing at Fuji Speedway showed significantly lower oil temperatures compared to stock. The twin-core layout maintained stable temperatures during continuous laps, preventing overheating and protecting engine performance.
