Overview

Drivers regularly experience elevated oil temperatures on the Honda Civic Type R FL5, even in completely stock form — with temperatures climbing even higher on modified vehicles. During testing, CSF recorded oil temperatures exceeding 275°F (135°C) under track conditions, highlighting the need for a dedicated solution.

CSF’s engineering team developed their first-ever complete engine oil cooler kit specifically for the FL5 platform. The result is a fully engineered, motorsport-proven system that delivers significant thermal control while maintaining OEM-level fitment and an aggressive, functional appearance.

Development & Testing

CSF spent over a year developing and validating this kit alongside R&D partners and competitive drivers participating in Global Time Attack (GTA) and GridLife events. Initial validation took place in a controlled dyno environment, followed by extensive real-world track testing under extreme conditions to ensure consistent performance where it matters most.
