Radium Engineering Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit PCV – Nissan S15 Silvia / 200SX

The Radium Engineering PCV Catch Can Kit for the Nissan S15 Silvia/200SX runs inline between the PCV valve and the intake manifold. It mounts to 3 OEM threaded bosses in the RH corner near the firewall. This system works by ensuring that unwanted crankcase vapour, unspent fuel, and oil sludge are not drawn into the intake manifold, particularly after a high-load run.

When the intake manifold pressure is close to or greater than atmospheric pressure, the PCV "check" valve closes, and the hose experiences no flow. During idling, steady-state cruising, and decelerating, the PCV hoses experience "metered" vacuum, drawing harmful vapours away from the intake system.

Notes:

1. The PCV catch can kit is compatible and recommended to be used with the CCV catch can kit (see 20-0636).

2. No extra inline check valve is required since Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, allowing for a direct connection to the intake manifold.
